a metaphorical context was sought; an expression of the industry that influence the building form. I translated the tank shape and product substance- a basic expression of industry components- into fluid cylinders. Using advanced 3d modeling techniques, and using the dynamic aspects of the software, I was able to approach the project from a dynamic prospect.
I was able to recapture the tank form after being deformed, repeated, scaled and superimposed on the same mass. Horizontal ties- a trace and emphasis of motion and fluidity- link the mass together echoing the interior flow between spaces, further acquiring a conceptual and functional context being the tie to the program zones and acting as a brise-soleil.
